Η74η τελετή απονομής των βραβείων της Βρετανικής Ακαδημίας Κινηματογράφου και Τηλεόρασης- τα ευρέως γνωστά ως BAFTA– ήταν αναμενόμενα διαφορετική εξαιτίας της πανδημίας του κορoνοϊού. Μοιρασμένα σε 2 ημέρες απονομών, μία για τις πιο τεχνικές και μία για τις βασικές κατηγορίες, τα BAFTA 2021 κορυφώθηκαν τη βραδιά της Κυριακής 11 Απριλίου. Τα βρετανικά Όσκαρ πήγαν ως επί το πλείστον στα φαβορί, όπως το “The Father” και το “Promising Young Woman”. Μεγάλη νικήτρια η ταινία “Nomadland”, η οποία απέσπασε τα βραβεία Καλύτερης Ταινίας, ‘Α Γυναικείου Ρόλου για την Frances McDormand και Σκηνοθεσίας για την Chloé Zhao.
